The Open Gates Foundation is preparing to launch its Women Rising Empowerment Initiative, a transformative program designed to uplift and support women entrepreneurs, community leaders, and emerging changemakers. As a newly established NGO, the Foundation aims to create a powerful platform that advances gender equality and strengthens women’s roles in economic and social development.
The initiative will center on skills training, mentorship, and access to potential funding pathways, ensuring that women are equipped with the knowledge and confidence needed to build sustainable livelihoods. In its first planned phase, the program expects to support hundreds of women through training in business development, digital literacy, leadership skills, and social enterprise management.
Founder Dora Abofra emphasizes that empowering women will remain at the heart of the Foundation’s mission.
“When women rise, entire families and societies thrive. Our goal is to create opportunities that unlock their full potential,” she shared.
As part of its long-term vision, the Open Gates Foundation plans to expand its work in promoting equity, inclusion, and community-driven development.
